Nexus
Nexus helps members find people by expertise, skills, and interests β not keyword tags β and book time through an office-hours scheduling system. Built to reduce member churn by delivering the real reason people join organizations: meaningful connections.
Discovery
The client had built an AI-powered connection platform but their marketing site and user portal looked outdated and didn't reflect the product's capabilities. Met with the founder to understand the platform, user flow, and the disconnect between what the product does and how it presents itself. Researched competitors including Glean, Circle, and others to identify patterns in how AI-powered platforms communicate their value.

Wireframe
Mapped the full platform and marketing site to understand what existed, then identified the core UX problems: the marketing site didn't communicate the AI-powered value proposition, and the user portal's flow didn't match how members actually use the platform. Established a consistent component library with custom Shadcn components, built a new sitemap, and analyzed user heat maps to understand actual usage patterns.

Prototype
Built the sitemap and wireframes for the marketing site first, then established a styling and component library to ensure consistency. The initial approach of simply refreshing existing components wasn't working β swapping parts without rethinking the flow produced a polished version of a broken experience. Shifted to mapping the complete user flow and rebuilding around actual user workflows.

Ship
The marketing site is nearing completion with a redesigned navbar, hero section that communicates the AI-powered value proposition, and a content structure that urges visitors to get started. The user portal redesign is next, focused on making the platform more user-friendly, mobile responsive, and genuinely pleasing to use.
